PADFor me the shape and size is perfect. There is a nice, slick fabric covering the whole top and wrist-rest. My laser mouse works perfect with it and it slides nicely. The bottom has the non-slip surface that works great.WRIST-RESTThe wrist-rest has the channel in the middle which I find to be comfortable. The height of it is a little smaller than some others, which is what I was looking for to have a better wrist angle for me on my mouse. My old gel wrist-rest was 1 inch high, while this one is about 7/8 on the higher parts, 6/8 in the channel. The memory foam has some give, but it's more firm than the gel rest that I had before. I think I would prefer it to be a little more soft, but I'm still happy with it.Overall this is a great quality mouse pad and I would recommend it.
