I bought this as a summer jacket as my normal jacket only has vents that don't work well with a rucksack on my back. The hot weather was making commuting uncomfortable.The jacket arrived quickly and first impressions are of a well made jacket. On closer inspection there are few things that could be better. Like other reviewers I think the removable inner liner is a waste of time. It's very thin and provides little insulation so not sure why it's included. The armour is just foam rather than the plastic / foam armour of my other jacket. It's removable so may swap them. The foam is not preformed, but flat, so the jacket doesn't fit properly. The sleeves for example are overly wide as the shoulder and elbow armour distorts them. I've put heavy objects on them to bend them into shape.On the plus side the jacket performs really well in the heat with plenty of ventilation. The neck velcro strap has plenty of adjustment and there are velcro straps on the arms and back to allow for resizing.I was going to give it a 3 but think that's unfair. So it's just a 4 from me. On balance for the money I think this jacket does the job.What a great jacket for the summer. Take out the "waterproof" lining and use as a summer-only jacket. The elbow, shoulder and back protection held well in place. Pocket space is "OK" but nothing great (two front lower and one internal wallet style pocket). Adjustment Velcro at cuffs, upper arms, upper body and waist help to adjust jacket in so you can go a bit larger in size if required.I'd hate to have it as my main jacket, but when the weather is hot, this is the jacket to have (I would not recommend it for UK riding for the cold 6 months of the year, get a proper one).Works very well with a good airflow keeping you cool. Waterproof lining is a bit stiff and probably cheap quality wise but otherwise the jacket does exactly as promised for a very good price. In any event it's a jacket for summer days so better to leave out the lining and carry a rain jacket in the UK. Best used when the temperature is 19 degrees and upwards as its a bit too cool at anything below that.What a dream biker coat for the summer, very satisfied with the product and the lining zips out. Another reviewer said the waterproof lining was a bit like a bin liner? The liner is thin! but no thinner than my gortex travel light coat. Had no problem with the liner but the coat is just what you need on a blistering hot day. I'm sick of wearing motorbike coats that you just get hotter and hotter in, it really is a great coat, buy it you won't regret it. With a price tag like this as well it's a steal (£49)Does the job. Fits as expected.
