I've tried a lot of different gaiters over the years and absolutely love this design with the zip closure instead of the typical velcro. Huge bonus that it zips from top down so if you need to redo your laces mid-hike just zip it open from the bottom and you can access your boots without needing to remove the gaiters (with other brands using velcro, if you have to undo it mid hike in deep snow it can sometimes be hard to seal those type shut again - not so with this zipper closure). Also really like the secure clip that holds the top tight to the leg much better than competing brands. One small complaint though is that this particular clip has larger gaps in it than for the Armadillo LT and so when going through deep snow it gets packed in making it very difficult to unclamp the top till you dig out the snow. But with the top down zipper there's typically no need to until you're back at the car.I usually don't rate any product five stars anymore but today I've decided to give this gaiter five stars. Fit 100% as expected and I've been very pleased how the gaiters work. Keeps my dry when walking and hiking in snow and from the start needed no adjustment from my site. I just put them on and start walking. They are tight, which I was looking for but that is what the producer subscribed the product. I recommend that you follow the measurement guidelines given by the producer and you do it in the outfit that you intent to use while walking or hiking. That means at minimum base layer and 2nd layer. Don't measure tight and then add 1cm for safety. If you do that, you should have no problem with the fitment.I own 3 other pair of gaiters from other producers but these will be my number one gaiters from now on.I have the Hillsound crampons and have been very happy with them - very well made and they have really been reliable during my hikes on icy trails. I thus decided to get their gaiters, even though much cheaper ones are available. I just received them and I am glad I purchased these. Excellent quality, the zipper is a nice touch and it just seems they will last for a long time. I also like the fact that the strap is user replaceable, so I can just get a new one, if this one wears out. Highly recommended!I bought these to replace a cheap pair that I've used for a few years. I really like the look and feel of these! The bottom portion is very sturdy and reinforced feeling to protect from brush and the top portion is a comfortable somewhat stretchy material. I wear a men's US 11 boot and I got the Large. They're definitely fitted on these boots, but my boots are high rise, 400g instulated boots so that's to be expected. I probably could've gone with one size larger to better accommodate winter layers, etc. But I'm happy with the form fitting fit of these. I've used them only once at this point. I did a 10 mile, two peak, hike in very cold, wet, weather and they performed well! I'll update my review if anything changes, but I suspect these will last for the long-haul and perform well for my needs.Waterproof and serious durability. Love the attention to details. Stirrup replaceable however I am not sure you would every need to because it's beast. Using for bush skiing.I've used the product once so far. It held up well to 2-3 foot deep snow in the woods. The only issue was due to a manufacturing defect that prevented one of the gaiters from properly tightening around the calf. I contacted customer support regarding this issue and they promptly offered a satisfactory conclusion solution. I only docked one star for the original defect. The product seems high quality otherwise, and their customer service was a pleasure to work with.The product seems well made, I liked the zipper vs velcro and how the hook is quite large and well positioned.I had to return them though as they are super-narrow and I could barely put them on. So, if your lower leg is slim, it may be a good choice.These gaiters are great! Used them several times in deep snow, I'm talking knee deep and waist deep! Kept snow out of my pants and boots. I wanted a pair of gaiters that would hold up on trips where I would be wearing crampons and these didn't let me down. The closure around your calf stays snug and they do not fall down. When the ones I have finally wear out, I will be buying me another pair of these bad boys!!!
