Ran a little big but overall still fit well, I'm 5 5 and like to wear them rolled once for the same effect as the pata 2.5 inch inseamWas looking forward to these Columbia shirts with a little added length, but the tent like synthetic unforgiving fabric made them somewhat uncomfortable to walk in. I was looking for some fabric with some more give or stretch, so unfortunately they went back. The fabric does seem like a quick dry fabric and may be useful to some, but they bugged me when I tried to walk in them..These fit nice are very light weight elastic waist withdraw string and roomy side pockets Only annoying thing is the material rolls up on the legsThe fit of these shorts are great and I absolutely love the color. I love the water resistance of the shirts. I wear them frequently at work and they are amazing.Nice fitting, easy wear shorts. Black nylon or like material. Washed and dried perfectly and quickly. The elastic waist does have a working drawstring should you need it. Seems true to size, no need to go up or down a size in my opinion. I have bigger thighs and I was glad the leg holes weren't tight. Nice depth to pockets. A zippered pocket on the back. I am happy with my purchase. Having said that, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful.UPDATE... 8/30/22 - I ordered the 'turquoise' - it looks really nice and light in the photo - however - it is a VERY DARK teal. Just FYI. I would have preferred the lighter. But these shorts are really good.These are great for hiking, running, or just casual wear. I got them because they were compared to the Patagonia baggies which I have and love, these are definitely a thinner more lightweight material but still good quality.The front mesh pockets WON'T HOLD A PHONE because sides of pocket are cut low & on a weird angle.Even if I'm just standing around and not moving, phone tips out. No way I'd be able to go out or sit without losing/falling phone.Back has one small zipped mesh pocket that can fit credit cards/IDThe outer material is nice. Drawstring and elastic waistbandI got 5" inseam & medium. The medium was wider than I expectedThe shorts are amazing! The fabric is extremely lightweight and feels like it is quick drying. The length was perfect. My measurements are waist-25” and hips- 35” and the xs fit perfectly.I have always size up by one when ordering clothing from Columbia. I love the brand a their product. Not this time though!My size in the brand is usually M-L depending on the style. Ordered the L and it is enormous on me.The fabric is fabulous, cool and perfect for hot weather. The colour is a very bright canary yellow (like Big Bird yellow). There is an internal draw string at the waistband allowing for adjustment. Even pulling it tight did not help, the size was alot larger than it should be. Have requested a refund. Disappointed.I ordered these shorts in black and am very happy with them so far. The fit is quite good and comfortable so I recommend ordering based on the size chart. They are a little baggier than pictured but that's great for doing outside work. The fabric is thin and light and perfect for hot summer days. It is also the type of material that dries very quickly. I already ordered a second pair in blue and am considering getting a third pair. I recommend these shorts and would give them 5 stars so far. As long as they hold up to wear and laundering for the next year I'll be happy.Update: It's about 6 weeks or so since I got these shorts and I am still very happy with them. They wash and dry on the regular cycle very well and do not require any special care. I mentioned that the shorts are a bit baggy. This is actually a good thing as the material has no stretch at all. I find them comfortable and would look at buying more shorts as well as other items from this brand. I've never been a Columbia wear person but this year ordered shorts, a jacket and a skort (on sale of course, being a bargain hunter) and am thrilled with them all. Highly recommend. 5 stars.I have a size 2 pair of the Anytime Capri in Tusk and I love them. I ordered the same color in these thinking they would be the same fabric but they are not. The capri has some eslastane, these shorts have none. So even though XS is the right size for me, with zero stretch they are not comfortable enough to keep.Estoy enamorada de la tela del short.
